Accessibility Statement
Effective August 7, 2026 · speedupvisa.com
Accessible Justice Inc. is committed to making speedupvisa.com usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or who need high contrast.
Conformance standard
We build and test this site against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the standard incorporated by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d) through the Revised 508 Standards at 36 C.F.R. Part 1194.
We describe this site as substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We chose that phrase over "fully conformant" on purpose. Full conformance is a claim about every page in every state. The honest version is the "Known limitations" list below.
What we have done
- Contrast. Every text-and-background pair is checked programmatically against the 4.5:1 ratio required for body text. Where a combination failed — the tinted callout boxes on this and the policy pages measured 4.32:1 — the colour was changed rather than the requirement waived.
- Text size. No text on the legal pages is set below 14px. Text resizes to 200% without loss of content or function, and the layout reflows to a single column instead of requiring horizontal scrolling.
- Keyboard. Everything usable with a mouse is reachable and operable by keyboard, in a logical order. Every link, button, form control and expandable question draws a 3px focus indicator. We do not rely on the browser default, which is hard to see against our link colour, and we lighten the indicator on dark backgrounds so it stays visible there too.
- Skip link. Every page opens with a "Skip to main content" link. It targets the
mainlandmark, which is made focusable so that focus really moves there rather than only the scroll position. - Structure. Pages use real landmarks (
header, nav, main) and a heading hierarchy that descends without skipping levels, so a screen reader's heading list is a usable outline. - Tables. Data tables carry a caption and column headers marked with
scope, so each cell is announced with the heading it belongs to. Wide tables scroll within their own container rather than forcing the page sideways. - Forms. Every field on the contact form has a programmatic label, errors are announced through a live region, and no field depends on placeholder text alone.
- Images. Decorative images carry an empty
altattribute so screen readers skip them instead of reading a filename. - Language. Each page declares its language, so a screen reader uses the right pronunciation — the Chinese home page and the guides at
/delayas Chinese; the English home page at/en, the English guides at/en/delay, and these legal pages as English. The link that moves between the two language versions carries the language it leads to, so a screen reader announces it correctly rather than reading 「中文」 with English pronunciation rules. - Motion. Entrance animations are disabled automatically for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
- No analytics on the policy pages. This page, the Privacy Policy and the Terms load no analytics and no tracking script of any kind. Reading our policies is not measured, and nothing on these pages depends on scripting except the email decoding described under "Known limitations".
Known limitations
Stating these is part of conforming honestly, not an exception to it:
- Mixed-language content. The Chinese home page and the guides at
/delayare in Chinese and include English legal terms, form numbers and citations inline. Some screen readers will read those English fragments with Chinese pronunciation rules. The English pages have the mirror of the problem in one place only — the link back to the Chinese version. We mark the page language, and we mark that link, but we do not currently mark every inline change of language. - Email addresses need JavaScript. The contact addresses on these pages are obfuscated by our host so that address-harvesting bots cannot read them, and a small script restores them in your browser. Screen readers and every current browser run that script, so the addresses are announced and clickable as normal. With scripting switched off, or in a text-only browser, they will not resolve — in that case the postal address below reaches us, and so does any address you already have for us. We chose this trade-off deliberately: an inbox buried in spam is a slower way to reach us than a script is.
- Third-party fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts. If that request is blocked or slow, the page falls back to system fonts; content and function are unaffected, but appearance differs.
- Testing. Our checks to date are automated and manual keyboard testing. We have not commissioned an independent audit or formal assistive-technology user testing. We will say so here when that changes rather than implying more than we have done.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site stops you doing something, we want to hear about it — and we would rather hear about a small thing than not hear at all.
Email accessibility@speedupvisa.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Mentioning your browser and any assistive technology helps, but is not required.
- We acknowledge within 5 business days.
- We aim to fix or provide a working alternative within 30 days, and we tell you which it will be.
- If something will take longer, we say so and give you a way to get the same information or service another way in the meantime.
If you cannot use this site to reach us, that is exactly the case this address exists for — write to Accessible Justice Inc., Menlo Park, California 94025.
How this was assessed
Self-evaluation, by the team that builds the site. We measured contrast and text size on every text element by script. We walked each page by keyboard alone. We reviewed the landmarks, the heading order, the table markup and the form labels by hand. We review this statement whenever the site changes in a material way.
